Don't waste your words, they're just lies

Bastards. Got a bit of free time over Christmas. Thought I might learn a couple of Dylan songs - some of the difficult ones, you know not just 'Blowin' in the Wind.'
They've taken all the tabs off of the dylanchords site. Typical - you find a decent free internet site. Some corporate prick thinks - hang on, we should be making some money out of this. Why don't they just get Starbucks or Victoria's Secret to sponsor it?

Watch out Arctic Monkeys!

Some of my mates bands now have online presence.
Superfly - Great club band. The mp3s on the site probably don't do them justice. Although I haven't heard the Elvis one yet!
Offshoot is Jimi Thing - doing Hendrix obviously. There is a link to this via Superfly - however it doesn't seem to work - yet.
Plain Jane are also on the tinterweb. Loads of great mp3s.
BTW the photo is of Dave from Superfly not Tom Waits as I originally thought. I would love to see Tom Waits playing Edlington's Legion club though...

Itsa Wonder - Full Live

Stevie Wonder live on Radio 2. Brilliant. I missed the live broadcast as I was doing a gig in Warrington. First thing today - checked to see if it was on the website. Couldn't be could it? Oh yes. Perfect Sunday afternoon - get the coffee brewing - kick back and enjoy, while checking e-mails or whatever.
Maybe I should get out more.

Entertainer - Not Gay

Well known entertainer wins court case over claims he is secretly gay.

Of course now all the gay rights crowd are up in arms as it quite clearly implies that being gay is 'wrong.' No-one ever sued for being wrongly accused of being straight - apparently.

On The Road Again

I'm off to Barrow-In-Furness tonight for a gig with the Hanks. Well somebody's got to.
Then we've got Burton and Birmingham followed by Cornwall and ... somewhere else down there.
Yes folks, that's five nights in a cold caravan. Ah well, at least it's not like a real job or anything.
Speaking of which my PGCE study has lead me to a couple of interesting sites, not least of which is the Quotations site. Although these type of things do seem to have some curious omissions. Only one quote by Miles Davis? I know he didn't say alot but... The Zappa quotes seem fairly random too.
I also found this site on Personality Theories good for short biogs of Piaget and Maslow.
